Then there will be sudden time waves that hurl you back and forth between 1950 and the present day. The player will have to use wits and the perfect weapon; the Time Manipulation Device. This will allow for the unraveling of the conspiracy on the remote island of Katorga-12. Story: During the Cold War winter of 1949-50, Stalin, the brutal leader of the Soviet Union, had two super weapons. These weapons are the long-range missiles and the atomic bomb. Even if his teams of forced laborers managed to build a missile powerful enough to carry an atomic payload, Stalin still faced the United States and the Strategic Air Command. He needed a plan that would insure Soviet security and superiority. Chance brings him to a discovery on a remote island off the Kamchatka peninsula, that has previously unknown material called "Element 99". This element yielded a new energy source and powers. This element also produced a risk of contamination. This contamination caused a catastrophic event that affected the entire island. After the contamination, a quarantine of katorga-12 was ordered. The knowledge of the island remained unknown until 2010. The intelligence reports in the west confirm activity in the remote atoll in the Russian Federation's shadow. The world does not know of Katorga-12. There was no concept what may be on this island of the coast of Russia. The island was deemed possibly another Chernobyl. America's quest is to scramble a stealth flyby of the area. They need RECON fast. Enemies in Development: Zeks: are prisoners of Russia. Infected Zeks is the consequence of the Soul Leeches coming with the humans living on Katorga-12. Once infected, they are overcome with a rage and they attack any beings nearby. Infected Zeks are nothing but a host for a strange and frightful intelligence. They are strong and very dangerous. Phase Ticks: Is a form of life that exists outside of time. The Phase Tick is a small creature that carries E99 as part of its body. It acts like a moving land mine. Once aware of the threat, it moves and sacrifices itself to protect its home. What is Element 99? During 1941, Soviet miners extracting iron ore for the war came upon strange chunks of orange rock on the island of Katorga-12. Carefully studying the new rock; it was found to have similar properties as Plutonium. Then it was added to a growing list of isotopes in that range of the periodic table and simply named Element 99 (E99). After World War 2 ended, scientists went to Katorga-12 to study E99. One of the scientists was Viktor Barisov. A few months into research showed Dr. Barisov that bathing the E99 in an electrical field can cause it to break down immediately. This would also create an energy surplus on a 10 to 1 scale in the process. This became Barisov's obsession. The energy is nearly free, and perfecting this process can create a place in history for both him and Soviet Russia. While working on E99, Barisov found that the rock can actually alter the time-state of everything it touched.
